Are you accepting new clients during the COVID-19 outbreak?
Yes, we are accepting new patients into our care program, with stringent infectious disease protocols in place as set forth by the CDC. Patients who have become infected must wait to start our care services until they are released by their medical doctor and/or cleared for discharge by a hospital or rehabilitation center. How can I help protect myself?
People can help protect themselves from respiratory illness with everyday preventive actions.
• Avoid close contact with people who are sick
• Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands
• Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds
• Use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol if soap and water are not available
How can I help protect others if I am sick?
If you are sick, to keep from spreading respiratory illness to others, you should:
• Stay home when you are sick
• Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash
• Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces
What is Bee at Home doing in response to COVID-19?
We continue to monitor developments surrounding COVID-19.
• To optimize coordination, communications, and preparedness, we have formed a company-wide Outbreak Preparedness and Action Committee. This Committee is focusing on emergency preparedness plans for the organization overall.
• Our employees are required to follow stringent infection control protocols
• We follow CDC guidance when assessing patients/clients with a fever and lower respiratory symptoms, such as coughing or shortness of breath
• Any employee who has symptoms of acute respiratory illness must remain home and not come to work until they have fully recovered.
